ASSENT STEEL recently marked a major achievement of reaching 3.5 Million Manhours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), a milestone that underscores our relentless commitment to safety and operational excellence. This celebration also served as the official Kick-off for our Q4 Safety Campaign focused on “Line of Fire” hazards, reinforcing the importance of staying vigilant and cautious in the workplace. As part of the event, we conducted live demonstrations to highlight critical Line of Fire scenarios, where employees are exposed to potential harm from moving objects, machinery, or hazardous energy. These practical demonstrations emphasized how small actions can prevent accidents, reminding everyone of the importance of being mindful of their surroundings and safeguarding not just themselves, but their colleagues as well. The hands-on approach helped set the tone for our Q4 campaign, making it clear that understanding and avoiding Line of Fire situations is crucial for everyone’s safety.
In addition to the demonstrations, we celebrated employees who have embodied a strong safety culture and led by example in influencing their teams to prioritize safety. These individuals were recognized for their proactive approach in identifying risks, adhering to safety protocols, and fostering an environment where looking out for one another is second nature. By linking the celebration of our LTI-free achievement with the kickoff of our Line of Fire campaign, we are reinforcing that maintaining a zero-incident workplace requires continuous awareness, action, and teamwork. This event highlights ASSENT STEEL’s ongoing dedication to embedding safety into every aspect of our operations, with a sharp focus on preventing Line of Fire incidents as we move forward.
